Video on your Wedding Day

Below are some moments we prepare for, that might be helpful.

With videography, we’ll work shoulder to shoulder with your photographer. Photography will be looking to freeze key moments and video will be looking for the motion, sound, and emotion of moments.
So acting natural and enjoying the moment is what video will be looking for.

The Dress

The Dress

PREPARATION:

A lot of emotional moments happen during this time.

First, before the makeup, and hair is complete. It’s a great time for us to capture video of any details, such as: the dress, invitations, sentimental accessories, etc.

When time allows, it’s fun to ask family/friends questions on camera. EX: “Advice for the couple?”

First looks with parents, fiancé, siblings, etc are so fun! These are amazing moments that are usually quiet and emotional.

With video, we capture all the anticipation, movement, mannerisms, laughter, tears, and more. Video makes it memorable for years to come.

WEDDING CEREMONIES:

For video, the Ceremony needs a lot of our attention. We’ll be coordinating spots with the photographer, Up to 4 Cameras, Stabilizers, and Audio sources. We’ve found 30 minutes is a good amount of time for us to fully prepare and test our setup.

We’ll be setting up to camera’s with stabilization. Then we’ll setup two Lavalier Mic’s on the Officiant and the Groom. This provides crystal clear sounding memories for our couple as well as a backup…just in case.

1. Officiant
2. Groom or Bride (Backup)

Please note:
Our microphones are not amplified for the audience.
They’re recorded through our cameras and for the memory. We even capture the quiet blessings from the officiant which is priceless.

First Dance Moments:

During first dances, we’ll be using 2 cameras to capture these moments. One camera will be on a wider lens to capture the full moment and the 2nd camera will be on a longer lens to capture the closer moments.

Both of these camera angles will give us quality coverage for this moment.

TOASTS or SPEECHES:
Toasts can really be amazing for a Feature Film edit. It all depends on the people you have giving the toasts and what they say. We’ve heard some amazing toasts and we’ve also heard many toasts that come off as roasts. They’re funny, but don’t really flow with a Feature Film edit.

On the technical side, we’ll patch in to your DJ’s or Band’s wireless microphone system for this audio.

CAKE CUTTING:

Cake Cutting is always a fun moment for video. You never know what the couple will do with a small piece of cake and frosting in hand. :) We have some amazing footage! Just enjoy the moment.

Wedding Exit:

Wedding Exit’s make for a perfect way to finish a Feature Film edit. It’s also a fun way for your guests to send you off on your Honeymoon. Plus, it makes the exit quick with just a few goodbyes.

EXIT’S:
- Sparklers (Bring a small torch)
- Bubbles
- Confetti
- Leaves
- Rice (It’s been awhile since I’ve seen this)
- Glow Sticks
- Helicopters or Whatever! :)

Video Editing: (Post Production)

After the wedding…
Once the wedding day is over. We’ll transfer about 400-600GBs of footage and audio files over to an external hard drive. Once they’re transferred…we’ll organize all the clips into folders (EX: Preparation, Ceremony, etc).

After that’s organized…we’ll transfer all of that to a back up 120TB+RAID5 NAS Server with several bays. Now we can prepare for the video edit. With all that said, we’re typically working on projects before your wedding and will add your wedding to the queue. It’ll definitely be worth the wait because everyone loves watching a video about them. :)

NEXT DAY TEASER:

These are fun the day after your wedding. Let us know if you would like to add it to your package.
